Teddy Bear Care Corp
MAKING IT HAPPEN ~ ONE ANIMAL AT A TIME!
OUR SUCCESS... EQUALS, HAPPY STORIES!!!
Since the start of the Teddy Bear Care Corporation, we have helped to save many lives. Providing services in both Greene and Fayette Counties; our programs have expanded from a small venture called the TBC Fund, dedicated to helping our community residents that were incapable of covering their vet bills, to increasing our efforts into a deeper function of rescuing, protecting, and saving lives. The following are just a few stories of how TBC Corp has been able to successfully carry out our organization's mission. This has allowed us to feel the rewards of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE in the way our founders wanted and to carry on keeping Teddy’s LOVE ALIVE!
We are so grateful that TBC was there when we were down and out. You all have given Pebbles and our family a fighting chance. Thanks to TBC, we acquired the needed medication and gained the knowledge to treat our Pebbles At home. Pebbles is a four Month old, full blooded pug and normally a hyper and playful pup that filled our family's hearts with laughter and joy. When Pebble became sick, only having $46.00 to my name I had borrowed $100.00 from a great friend and headed to Woodlands Animal Care center to find that Pebbles had contracted parvo . The treatments for Pebbles ranged from a few hundred dollars, to a few thousand. We didn't know what to do. The wonderful staff at Woodlands Animal Care center introduced us to Teddy Bear Care and in no time at all, a feeling of relief and a fighting chance for Pebbles. Our family is so very grateful to everyone at TBC, Thank you Thank you Thank you. Best of all five minutes ago we found Pebbles up and eating for herself. What a blessing. Thanks from our family to yours Ralph, Tabatha, Meadow, Snow, our shenanigan sweetheart Molly and yours truly, Pebbles the pug.
Hello my name is Sadie, I have IVDD, (Intervertebral Disk Disease). I fell trying to jump on my Mama’s bed, and had to go the hospital at WACC. (Woodlands Animal Care Center). I had to stay still in a crate for quite a while to recover. Mama had to pick me up, and take me outside, in fact she had to do most everything for me that I had to use my legs for. But because of TBC and the wonderful people at WACC I had a great recovery, and I am a happy girl today!
Eddy was treated at WACC for a nasty bite that resulted in needing immediate care. Had it not been for TBC, Eddy would not have been able to get his treatment. TBC has been told that Eddy is doing much better today, and we ALL have a smile on our face because he is on the way back to being EDDY!
Bernie was left behind along with his kitty brothers, Black & Buffy when their Mama, Cindy passed away suddenly. They were left outside in the cold winter. Scared, and lonely, they were all surrendered to TBC, and Bernie became TBC’s first doggie adoption! He lived the remaining years of his life with family love again, and enjoyed befriending his neighbors chickens, playing with his favorite ball, and most of all, getting and giving unconditional LOVE!
Black and Buffy came to TBC with many health issues from being left unattended. In addition to dehydration and hunger, Buffy had developed severe diabetes, and had be put on insulin and a special diet. His condition however, has since gone into remission, and he is currently being fostered by TBC. Buffy is 23 years old now, and the sole survivor of this trio that TBC saved. Although he is an old man, and has occasional bouts of health issues due to old age, he is holding his own.
Black and Buffy came to TBC with many health issues from being left unattended. In addition to dehydration and hunger, Black came to TBC with severe eye issues, including an in-turned eye lid that required surgery to repair. We lost Black in 2016 from kidney complications and aging issues.
Nester was surrendered to TBC when it was discovered that he was being neglected and abused. He was such a sweet little man who only wanted to be loved! When we shared his story with Deb, it brought tears to her eyes, and she knew in her heart she needed to meet him. Today Nester is KING of their house with his new Mama & Papa! He has two doggie siblings and kitties as well, that have become his new family forever!
Maurice was unable to stay in his home, and was surrendered to TBC. He only stayed in his foster home for one day, and was adopted right away by his foster Mama! Maurice thinks he’s a cat, He climbs up on things you wouldn’t think a dog could! When he goes out for his walks, Maurice struts around as if he knows it’s all his now!!
This is Angel!! TBC met Angel at WACC, and fell in love with her and heard about her story. (In short). She was never allowed to stand from birth while she was in a puppy mill. As a result she was unable to walk, and went to WACC for physical therapy. TBC learned that she needed a special wheel chair for the rest of her life, and wanted to help Angel get her wheels! So, we made Angel our first “PET PROJECT!” As you can see our TBC LOVE TEAM Volunteers were SUCCESSFUL in helping to raise the funds for Angels family to purchase her wheels!
Meet Solo! TBC received a desperate call from a Good Samaritan who was reaching out to any rescue that would help her save him! He was the sole survivor of his furry family, and had been living on top of his deceased mother’s body. Solo, we think, may have been hit by a car, and his left wrist was broken in several places so bad that it was unable to be repaired, and had to be removed. Solo was adopted by our TBC Founder, and has become a special little man in the house hold! Despite the fact that he is a three legged kitty, Solo holds his own, and manages very well!
Our boy Ringo was adopted after spending only 3 months in TBC's foster care. Ringo came from a bad situation and was left unwanted, and rescued by some good samaritans, who contacted TBC for help to get him a forever home.
We are so very happy that Ringo is now with his forever family!
The following pictures are a collection of other fur-babies we have been able to help find forever homes!
